The Prayer of The Order
O Eternal Father, you have sent us your Son to teach us things pertaining to your heavenly Kingdom. Give your blessing to our Order wherever it may be throughout the world. Grant that we, your Daughters, ever may discern your truth and bear the cross through the battles of our earthly life. Give us strength to overcome temptation and the grace to work to spread your Kingdom and to gather your scattered sheep within your fold. Pour out upon us the sevenfold gift of the Holy Spirit that we may always remember it is your work we are called to do, that all we think, do or say may be pleasing in your sight. We ask it all For His Sake, our King and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
Prayers
The Prayer of the Chalice
Father, to Thee I raise my whole being,
– a vessel emptied of self. Accept, Lord,
this my emptiness, and so fill me with
Thyself — Thy Light, Thy Love, Thy
Life – that these Thy precious Gifts
may radiate through me and over-
flow the chalice of my heart into
the hearts of all with whom I
come in contact this day
revealing unto them
the beauty of
Thy Joy
and
Whole-
ness
and
the
serenity
of Thy Peace
which nothing can destroy.
The Daughters of the King
All through
this day, 0
Lord, let me
touch as
many lives as possible for Thee.
And every life I touch, do Thou by
Thy Holy Spirit, quicken, whether
through the word I speak, the prayer
I breathe,
the letters
I write, or
the life I
live. In the
Name of
JESUS
CHRIST.
Amen.
I thank you, Lord,
For all those faceless people
Who pray their way throughout the days
For all their prayers, yet unheard
For those on earth
Who know our needs and add us to
Their prayerful deeds.
I thank you, Lord.

National Day of Prayer – 1st Thursday in May
Written by Dr. Charles R. Swindoll
Almighty God, we pause to reflect on Your character as we seek wisdom for such a time as this.
In these unsafe days, You remain all-powerful and able to protect;
In these uncertain times, You remain all-knowing, leading us aright;
In the unprecedented events we’re facing, You remain absolutely sovereign.
Our times are in Your hands.
Therefore, our dependence on You, is total, not partial
. . . our need for Your forgiveness is constant
. . . our gratitude for Your grace is profound
. . . our love for You is deep.
We ask that You guard and guide our President and all who serve the people of these United States. May uncompromising integrity mark their lives.
We also ask that You unite us as truly “one nation, under God.” May genuine humility return to our ranks. And may that blend of integrity and humility heal our land.
In our Lord’s name we pray,
Amen.
